WOMEN
MINISTRY - LEADER DAPHNE HOFFMEESTER
Our mission and goal:
- Women getting to know God and the blessings of knowing
God.
- Women discovering their God ordained purpose and God’s
will for
their lives.
- Addressing the challenges Christian women face today,
e.g. single parenthood etc.
- Encouraging spiritually matured women to disciple younger
women.
- Women having friends and fellowship with women.
- Christian women fulfilling the role of a mentor mom.
Our theme for the year 2005 is “Sharing
and Caring” based on the encouraging words in Heb.13v16
that says, “But do not forget to do good and to share,
for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”
Throughout the Bible we read how women were
serving, sharing and caring for the needs of others. We are
daughters of God whom He created and called according to His
Holy purposes. The Lord desires for us to be good stewards
of the spiritual gifs He gave us. Gifts are freely given to
minister to one another. If we are willing to be His vessel
God eagerly desires to flow through us. He
supplies the anointing; we provide the mouth and the hands.
Isn’t it incredible that the God of the uiverse chooses
to release His life and power through us? And that He is glorified
when we allow this transference take place.
As women of God we can rest in the assurance
that He has already given us everything we need to fulfill
our call to prayer, our call to love and our call to give.
Now we must go forth and walk in it. Throughout this year
our programmers varied from:
1. Be that Victorious Women - Daphne Hoffmeester
2. Signs of the Times - Elaine Barnes
3. Die Krag van die Bloed van Jesus – Susan Bostander
4. Waarin en Hoe glo ons ? - June Grovers
5. The Marriage -Enid Brinkhuis
6. Menopause - Marlene Ruiters (Femolene Ultra)
7. Women to women encouragement - Sandra Stals
Our first outreach for this year was to
the A.F. M. Sarepta Old Age home. Here we blessed about 35
senior citizens with fruit packets. Our second outreach was
to the Susan Lapoorta Children’s Home in Sarepta on
the 18 of June. Each child-received underwear, socks, clothing,
pencils a party packet, fruit and doughnuts.
We as the women’s ministry of Victory
Family Church of God were honoured to be able to touch and
enrich the lives of these precious children and senior citizens.
We held our Women’s Ministry service on the 21st of
August and our theme was “A Women’s Legacy Pursue
the Dream!” All females’ young and old participated
in this service and we served God in song, drama, reading
of inspirational poems and word ministry.
To share and care means we must come out
of our comfort zones. Make a difference by taking a risk to
give of yourself without apology. Be bold and have courage.
Women of God are postures and positioned to propel purpose.
Lets create some waves and ride them. We can do all things
through Christ who strengthen (empowered) us. He will complete
the Good work He began in us. As Women of God, may we, too,
possess the courage, determination and belief in God’s
faithfulness that will allow us to impact the world around
us.
